Key moments
Francesco Carminati takes over the reins of the company and becomes its only title-holder.
A global distribution network is established, with several partnerships across Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia, and Russia. This leads to invitations to take part in major projects, such as the Bulgari Hotel & Resort in Dubai.
Acquisition of a new 9,000 m² area, where the new logistics hub and production facilities are established.
The attention to detail and commitment to quality turn toward the world of interior design: a new collection of wooden interior doors and wall paneling is launched.
The new Carminati Concept Store is inaugurated in Milan, the capital of design and architecture. Carminati 1894 and Carminati Interiors come together to serve professionals, bringing everyone’s design dreams to life.

During our 131 years of activity, we have travelled a path of passion and discovery, evolving from a small carpentry workshop to a beacon of design and quality.
The Carminati family can trace its roots back to 1006 AD, when, by papal brief of Pope John XVIII, lands and noble titles were bestowed on the family Carminati of Val Brembilla, beginning a history that spans centuries. The story of Carminati Serramenti begins in 1894, when Agostino Carminati opened his carpentry workshop in Brembilla, in the upper Brembana Valley. From the outset, the workshop stood out for its production of furniture and various wooden objects, becoming increasingly well known throughout the Bergamo region for the quality of its craftsmanship.
Our mission today is the same as it ever was: to transform wood into the perfect medium for every architectural project, creating spaces that harbour dreams and tell stories, striking a balance between tradition and innovation that makes every detail unique.
